Undergraduate BA Colloquium

Description: 
Join us for the 2019 Bachelor of Arts Theses Colloquium, featuring students whose BA papers focused on topics in the area of Jewish Studies. This year our presenters will be: Isaac Johnston (History/Comparative Race & Ethnic Studies), “Strangers in the Outfield: Jews, Baseball, and Integration in America, 1900-1945”; Rebecca Julie (Sociology)“New Kids on the Yacht: The Role of Jewish Identity in Suburban Beach and Yacht Club Affiliation”; and Olivia Rosenzweig, (Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations), “Explaining Rapid Arabic Language Decline Amongst Mizrahi Jews in Israel in Light of Both the Historic Multiplicity of Middle Eastern Jewish Identity and Modern Sociological Discourse.” Refreshments will follow.
