Conference: ' 'Going forward with our heads forever turned back': Re-reading Giorgio Bassani'

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures and the Italian Cultural Institute will present a conference on the writer Giorgio Bassani. Speakers include: Roberta Antognini (Vassar), Armando Maggi (University of Chicago), Maria Anna Mariani (University of Chicago), and Emanuel Rota (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). The event will take place at The University of Chicago Harper Memorial Library, 1116 East 59th Street, Chicago, Room 104. Lunch will follow.
