Graduate-Student Lectureship

The Greenberg Center for Jewish Studies invites proposals from University of Chicago PhD students for an undergraduate course to be taught during Academic Year 2020–21.

The course may deal with any aspect of Jewish Studies, and fall within any time period, but should be conceived broadly enough so as to be appropriate for undergraduate students at an introductory or intermediate level.

Priority will be given to doctoral students already admitted to candidacy, but other students in PhD programs may also be considered.

Applications must include the following items:

• Cover letter

• Current curriculum vitae

• Letter of good standing from department

• Letter of recommendation from advisor

• Course description, reading list, and tentative syllabus

• Proposed quarter of instruction (although flexibility on timing is ideal)

Materials must be submitted in electronic form by Friday, February 28, 2020, to the Center's administrator, Nancy Pardee, at npardee@uchicago.edu. For questions, please contact Director Na'ama Rokem at nrokem@uchicago.edu.
