The Greenberg Center for Jewish Studies serves as a hub to coordinate and publicize all course-offerings in Jewish Studies and offers academic guidance to students interested in the various areas of Jewish Studies. It also serves as a home for the undergraduate major and minor in Jewish Studies, awards annual essay prizes for the best undergraduate papers in Jewish Studies, and (funds permitting) offers research grants and summer stipends to College and graduate students. At the graduate level, the Center provides support for students engaged in doctoral research in Jewish Studies in departments, committees, and schools and continues to explore other ways to enhance the disciplinary training of students. The Center, like other centers at the University, is not a degree-granting unit; prospective graduate students should therefore apply directly to departments and schools.
